"Give freely of what you find and join us. We shall be with you in the Fellowship of the Spirit, and you will surely meet some of us as you trudge the Road of Happy Destiny. May God Bless you and keep you - until then." Reprinted from Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th Edition, page 164, with permission of A.A. World Services, Inc.

Al-Anon Participation

Al-Anon has been an integral part of Fellowship of the Spirit from the beginning. Al-Anon members attend FOTS conferences and workshops each year, some accompanying the recovering alcoholics in their lives, many attending by themselves or with other Al-Anon members.

At past conferences, we had Al-Anon participation in the Step workshop panels that are the core of conference programs. One of the conference's five main speakers was an Al-Anon member with a powerful message of recovery. In 2012, Juanita U., an Al-Anon member from New Mexico, and her A.A. member husband Tom, led our June 8-9, 2012 workshop at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Richmond.

"Each Al-Anon Family Group has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps of A.A. ourselves, by encouraging and understanding our alcoholic relatives, and by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics." - Tradition Five
